Hi all
Considering buying a Pure Highway to go in my new (old) S40 shed when I collect it next week. I've been meaning to pick a Pure Highway up for the Z4 (2009 E89) for a while, so might buy a pair - has anyone fitted one? The instructions mention earthing the unit to the roof.....obviously this isn't going to work on a convertible, can I easily earth it elsewhere? And does anyone know if the wireless receiver unit auto turn-off? I assumed it would be wired but on the 600 at least it appears not. Wiring wise, again I'm guessing but the obvious route is wiring it into the armrest jack.
I'm in a suburban area so dab is fine usually, never tried a windscreen aerial though so if anyone can tell me yay/nay I'd appreciate it!
Thanks

Pure Highway on the E89
I've got a Highway 400 in my e85 and it works fine. The earthing tag is magnetic and I've got it looped back down and tagged to the A-pillar. It's connected via the aux-in and initially there was a bit of a hum, so I added an in-line noise isolator from amazon for about £10, which cured the problem.

OK great, thanks for the info. I think I'll get one for the Volvo and learn any lessons on that before I start pulling trim up from the interior of the Z!
