Hey,

Bought this Lenovo Chromebook a while back, and I hate the thing to its core, I broke my own golden rule of never buying cheap as chips but anyway.... One problem is when I connect these Sony wireless earbuds and watch bands or car stuff on YouTube you get about 1-1min 30 in and it starts buffering and simply will not re-connect, its bloody infuriating. If I stop using the earbuds no problem, it'll play fine but the good lady isn't keen on UFO Lights out live at full tilt.....even though the speakers are tiny and shite.... Use my iPhone and no problem, no buffering, but I like to watch stuff on a bigger screen than a small phone.

Any ideas why it's buffering non stop...? I'll happily take the engine out of an M but this stuff leaves me cold and I'm frankly crap at it.
Thanks muchly if anyone can help.

Simple answer is that Bluetooth audio via Windows/Chrome is sh!ttier than sh!t-stinking Sh!tty McSh!t from Sh!tville with an extra dollop of sh!t for the weekend.
Get yourself a wired pair of headphones and upgrade the cable with one of my premium ChrisCables 'Curious Cranium' cables and all your troubles and strife will be gone!

edit: those buds look like they have connections for a cable (?).
I also do a nice MMCX cable -

I was using these £400 Sennheiser wired buds which are epic on my old iPad which is dead but this chromebook doesn't have a jack port, nor do New iPads. No docks in the wireless buds either. Sort that one..... :poke:

You can get USB to 3.5mm jack adapters
e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Headphone-ACAG ... B09BB1WYBN

That'll take Bluetooth out of the equation so you should be OK then

I’m just wondering why you don’t use your mobile phone?

And I do like Sennheiser earphones, good choice

Au contrare John, however Perry beat me to it.
I supply cables to many, many, many iPhone users who use Flacplayer for a better quality of noise and who prefer a wired connection.

Wired is always best I think, I'm just wondering if the basic adapter supplied is the weak link here, although it sounds pretty good to be fair.

Wired most definitely IS your best option when it comes to sound quality.
However, I'm keen to find out how good the bluetooth 'APTX Lossless' codec is. If it's anywhere near as good as industry claims then it may well be a worthy contender for wired solutions when it comes to hi-resolution music playback.

Will it matter what what machine you use if wireless turns out to be that good..? Eg, a cheap crap tablet V a very good quality one or are the differences in price down to better quality parts internally and capability yet they won't have any effect on music quality..?
