il have to try and find some pics of rally's car.... id love to see.i had a last min PPF job land and i stopped me getting these fitted today :-( and tomorrow ive got damn chemotherapy so it will take me a few days to move again.

with these being precut templates they should be very simple to fit. ( he says )
Hope chemo goes well for you tomorrow and I’ll look out for your next YT

Tinted PPF headlights

Took a pic of this one with the light smoke tinted PPF from the rear with the natural light on them from the shutters lifted, Convinced these will look ace on front the lights of the zed. Love the protection aspect of using PPF also as I've had to replace one and it was not cheap 🙈. I have no idea why I'm so excited for these. The HOPE is being perfectly cut machined pieces these can be installed by the end user as PPF is bastard to work with and not cheap. A roll of this stuff is over a grand .

Will get pics of the front lights as soon as I'm back up off the floor 🤣🤣🤣.

Tinted PPF headlights

kis wrote: Thu Oct 21, 2021 11:40 am What sort of tint is that? I think a very light smoke could look nice. Or even just a clear PPF would be good... like you say it'll protect the headlight quite well.
I was thinking the same. Would a clear layer not only protect the lens but possibly also stop it degrading and going cloudy?

This actual PPF thats tinted, as mentioned before this will stop degrading and them going colour which is the clear failing. This PPF is designed for headlights, and windscreens. This is light smoke also.

Fitted ..... Love them. Fitment is inch perfect. But..... Here's the down side not an easy installation. I install PPF day in day out on some of the rarest and awkward vehicles out... I'd rate this 5/10 for difficulty.

The scan was perfect but due to the curvature of the light it needs a slightly stretch to get it to where it needs to be ... The scan has taken account for this on the cut piece . But the scan and cut from the machines are so clean it looks like it came from the factory like this .

Very pleased with the look and really adds some nice aggression to the front end which imo looks a little tame.

So to recap this is proper PPF that's tinted so the light has protection from chips etc and UV damage ... It's thinner than your conventional bodywork PPF but still has solid protection capacity.

Now I've got the scan I can make them in clear PPF or these tinted versions. ill get it out the dark garage tomorrow and take some daylight pics. Last pic is truest to what my eyes see.... look forward to seeing it outside tomorrow but got pretty tired messing around in such a tight space.

Overall nice cheeky little project that ive enjoyed creating and love the look of. Win win.

Hard to say definitively, but first impression looks great! Really looking forward to the daylight pictures, as those really put things in perspective
