Superchips Remap Offer

Post by Gwest44 » Wed Oct 20, 2021 7:40 pm

Looks like they have an offer on until the end of this month with £100 off and I've heard a remap on the N20 can improve the engine note and fuel economy in addition to the performance stats.

Sounds like a no brainer but would be keen to hear from anyone with first hand experience especially if they used Superchips.

Thanks in advance.

Superchips Remap Offer

Post by Smartbear » Wed Oct 20, 2021 11:40 pm

Remapped diesels get economy improvements, turbo’d petrol engines like the 2litre e89’s not really - when i used my car for commuting to work the economy was unchanged.

Superchips have had that '£100 off' offer running for at least 10 months, so you don't need to rush :D
I had my N20 done by Superchips in Feb this year. I chose them as they are one of the longest established at software remapping and I've used them before with no issues.
They are now owned by 'Remap Kings', but the software (certainly for the N20) is Superchips. I have had no issues whatsoever, and the chap who came and did the work was very knowledgeable and amiable. Performance gain is great, fuel economy about the same (not worse though). Not noticed much difference in exhaust note, but there is definitely more induction noise now.

NB: Mine was remapped at only 27k miles. I changed the oil and replaced the air filter and plugs before the remap just to make sure the engine was in the best possible condition before adding 70% more power (mine is an 18i so only made 156bhp before).
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Superchips Remap Offer

Post by craigdm » Wed Oct 27, 2021 10:14 am

As said previously this offer has been running for several months now, and the work is carried out by Remap Kings.

I used them for my new 2.0 which I got a couple of months ago. Very quick and easy to arrange and was completed on my drive in less than an hour. I recon my insurance was about £50 more.

Definitely worth the upgrade, you don't notice much tootling around town but once you get chance to open the throttle it just keeps on pulling right through the rev range.
Z3 rare 2L Straight 6. Should have kept it!
