Rear number plate lights

Noticed one was dull, pulled and full of green algae, the other the same.
Ordered two new and fitted.

But after the event could have saved some money.

I took the old ones apart, levered off the clear cover and cleaned them up with water and washing up liquid.
Came up like new. The circuit board would pop out. The cover could have been silicone sealed back on.
Was amazed to see how many diodes and resisters required to drive 1 led.

About £16 each.
As you can gather didn't realise how easy to take apart clean or whether the electronics was damaged by damp.
