Dead z4 e85

Post by SimonParkin70 » Sat Oct 16, 2021 5:12 pm

Hello to all and I hope you can help

I recently got into my z4 put the key in the ignition and turned it and the lights came on etc but as I turned the key to start the car I heard a pop and all went dead
No lights no start no central locking
So I am hoping that some one on here can point me in the right direction as to what the problem could be

Many thanks
Simon

I don’t like the “Pop” tho.
Which area of the car did that noise come from?

Check out the fuse box behind the glove box, look for evidence of any blown fuses, there are relays on the rear side of the fuse board, probably need to drop the fuse board down into the footwell to check out the relays that are on that side. Its a matter of undoing the board retaining screws on the front and letting the board drop down into the footwell so you can turn it to see the rear side.
