Cat problems - sleeping and scratching the top

Low cost:
Mothballs are supposed to keep them well away but I’m not sure if they are non harmful.

Hi cost:-
I bought a couple of solar powered cat scare gizmos
They flash and generate a high frequency sound.

The cats now skirt my garden and I don’t have to clean up cat crap!

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Cat problems - sleeping and scratching the top

I think the first response regarding the super soaker was on the money. A young cat started frequenting our rear garden earlier this summer. It was fearless and it was taunting my soppy pointer which would've ended in tears for both of them.
I managed to get a good blast from my kids super soaker square in the cats face and I've not seen it in the rear garden since. This may sound harsh but no real harm caused to it and more importantly no injuries to either cat or dog.

They steer clear of my garden now!

That’s very similar to the units I’ve got - so the cats don’t bother me much now

I assume from the photo in the advert, this would not be any use to me as It would affect my dog (unless he wore earphones)… as well the rabbits I’d like to get rid of?

Will that work on kids.

Or pigeons. Those do annoy me. But we like cats, so wouldn't want to scare those off. Plus would it spoke the local dog population and cause a canine uproar? :o

I will give you feedback when I buy it. :) I like cats, but not on a soft top, they already scratch it a little bit and always have a lot of hair that I have to clean from the top.

Feedback: this device works like a charm, from Friday (last week), there are no cats on the soft top. I put it at the end of the day, under the front bumper (it is really low, so I have to turn it over) and I remove it in the morning. :)
