Rear shoes adjusted as per the many posts, only problem is that the handbrake still doesn't tighten up. Having looked at the auto adjuster does this look correct ?
I thought the little hook should effectively disappear within the spring....never checked the cables, the car has been sitting with the handbrake off for nearly a year
Any help much appreciated.

Handbrake adjustment
One of the best features of the E89, the electronic park brake.
No more crawling under cars to reach an adjuster hidden behind a prop shaft or exhaust.
No silly designs like on the RX7, always leaking fluid.
No more mot failures, because it needs adjusting.
