Hi all,
Hopefully, this question hasn't been asked before and I've just not been able to find it on the forum.
Has anyone swapped out the mirror covers on their G29? I'm specifically looking for any instruction videos, tips or links to how it's done.
As it stands, all I've managed to find are 2 YouTube videos, neither of which were working on a Zed, where one guy prised the covers off with a plastic trim tool and brute strength, the other popped out the mirror glass and unclipped the caps from the inside.
I don't want to get this wrong!

Do you have pictures of the replacements? If good enough quality you should be able to see if clip on/together or if there’s screw recesses etc
I posted a link to some https://www.diversionautomotive.com/col ... mw-z4-g29/
Second image looks like lots of prongs so pulling may break/snap something if the weren’t compressed first??

Hi Andy,
Those look exactly like the ones I've ordered, just a bit more expensive, so I'm guessing it'll be a case of popping the mirror glass out to get access to the compressible clips then. Think I might get a professional involved lol. Thanks for your input

Mine has the Shadowline pack so not an issue for me but if it was I think I’d be getting someone else to do it for me too

I did mine by plopping out the mirror first, unlicpping the top clips and then wedging a plastic thingy in between the mirror to the clips.
One of the bottom clips broke in one of the mirrors since they are a little difficult to reach and it requires some force to remove.
You can also look at supra videos or bmw 1 f40 they have the same mirror caps
