Hey Robert,
I sent you a private message here on the forum yesterday asking for details for the meeting that you so generously offered. Did you perhaps missed it?
Eugene
Hey Robert,
Hi Robert,
Interestingly, I've seen his car parking in Munich last summer and placed my Z4 business card on it. So he already had my contact details, but missed it.
Mightily impressed by all the hard work and time that has gone into developing a tool that makes roof diagnosis now seem so easy.RobbiZ4 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 3:20 pmFunnily, I've already seen his car parking in Munich last summer and placed my Z4 business card on it. With the new Y3 Roof Diagnostic System I was able to diagnose the following:

Well, that was a very interesting fault I haven't seen before!
As written, the rear roof shell came up, but the pump didn't stop to push it further.
After some checks, this switch in the rear panel was electrically fine, no broken wires or sth. else, but it did not change it's switch state. We gona have it replaced soon.
Well that was a quick diagnostic and hopefully and cheap and painless repairRobbiZ4 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 3:20 pmFunnily, I've already seen his car parking in Munich last summer and placed my Z4 business card on it. So he already had my contact details, but missed it.

No, no, that was while replacing this microswitch, not a fault situation.Ole gits rule wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 7:02 pm Bloody hell - would not want to see mt car looking like that

Oh I remember the initial post, I said you were the resident guru on roofs and €2,500 is a joke, why would they have done when the guy said ok change the pump and it still did not fix the problem - would have been an interesting conversation one thinksRobbiZ4 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 8:03 pmOle gits rule wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 7:59 pmI know Robbi but would still not want to see mine looking like that
You would love this view, I promise you. If you go back to the initial post on page 1, you will read what brings more tears to my and your eyes:
A nonsense quote of 2.500€ for a hydraulic repair, where no fault is. And I often get told these stories!!
Interestingly, a pump costs about 3k plus some 100 bucks for mounting. What would this guy have done with 2.5k? Nothing at all? And then, asking for a surcharge? I'd make him some...Ole gits rule wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 8:24 pm ...and €2,500 is a joke, why would they have done when the guy said ok change the pump and it still did not fix the problem - would have been an interesting conversation one thinks
