Washed the Z this morning and its great in the sunshine.
I,ve had 2 trade in prices from dealers desperate for stock.
£150 more than I paid for it 15 months ago.
I’d love to trade up to a 40i, or even how mad is this go for my 2nd love an E86 coupe and mint it up to concours level.
Man maths in progress. Odds on I,ll keep the G29.

Cost free motoring is not something to be sniffed at and absolutely fantastic, if not unusual, to experience but to come out slightly ahead is even better even if only £150.
Are you looking to get into a new M40i or 2nd hand one? Is 2nd hand their prices have followed the same trend as your own. Presuming it’s not your daily, and going new, ideal, trade your own in just now, order your M40i and you’ll get it for around Easter and hopefully for the sun coming out
The E86 route, completely different and only you can know if you want a concourse classic that’s value retention will be much more dependant on usage than the M40i.
On a completely personal note the M40i is a lovely place to be, particularly in sports plus and sports mode in the highlands

Very nice! Is that the Mediterranean Blue? That's what I've ordered on mine, but I could find very few pictures of real cars wearing it before I took the plunge...

Your car looks great!
15 months depreciation free motoring must be really tempting, but if you go for an M40i presumably that will cost more than it would have done 15 months ago - tough call really.
An E86 would be a totally different experience - maybe you ought to try one before you commit to anything.
Good luck anyway whatever you decide.

New M40i’s are expensive, and my car has only done 7.8K.
The more I think about it,the more I’m leaning towards keeping my car.
I’m retired,so I daydream a lot about car options

Looks fab I really do like the G29!
If an E86 I think an M would be a scratch worth itching I loved mine but I love the roadster more.

Why not take the offer and go for something really cool, an E89 35is?Nick177 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 10:50 am Washed the Z this morning and its great in the sunshine.

I'm retired as well, but stopped idly browsing cars when I got my MC! But I spend a lot of time on here.
If you've already had an E86, at that mileage it would seem to make more sense to keep your G29.

I’ve had an e89 23i and loved that to. In fact I’m on my 5th Z. I think there’s something wrong with me Ziedituss !Nanu wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 7:58 pmWhy not take the offer and go for something really cool, an E89 35is?Nick177 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 10:50 am Washed the Z this morning and its great in the sunshine.
