Came back to a nice surprise...
Hey Guys,
Just got back from a weekend away to this very nice surprise No need to give more details on how happy I am...
Car is a 2007 e85 3.0si.
Looks like only the rear right-side panel has been touched.
Just wanted your opinion. I don't think that a body-shop can do much and I'll have to change the part.
The part number I found online is 41357151640 and price comes at a £508 + fuel cap (https://bmwsupply.co.uk/part/details?se ... w=btdetail)
Are there cheaper ways out there to source OEM parts?
Do anyone happen to have a spare panel in Sterling grey?
How much labor should I factor in to make the change?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Try bmw breakers, the wing just bolts on although one bolt is a pain as it's slightly hidden by the roof frame, popular colour so might get lucky

Couple of small dents and a chip in the paint that Im sure could all be fixed, better than what you have and cheaper than what you have listed. Considering you would probably have to paint the replacement panel anyway this could be better.

Assuming it was parked on the street, are there any CCTV cameras on your road, or do any of your neighbours have them? I only ask because London has a LOT of cameras.

Thanks all for the advise.
Will check prices to try to save the existing panel and to repaint a used one. See what I come back with.
Synetiq is pricing the panel at £150 + VAT, which seems a bit steep?

I suppose it depends if it is the colour you need and whether it is mint or not.

If £150 + VAT includes delivery that doesn't sound too bad as I imagine shipping wouldn't be cheap!
And if it is the right colour you're quids in as I doubt you'd get one painted for that.

At least £150 to £200 to paint one plus buying so £300 minimum to me.

Just ordered the part from Synetiq, thanks so much for the link @Zed Baron.
Ital Coachworks is quoting £680 all inc to remove the panel, repaint the new one, install it and color match the driver's door...
Seems a bit steep but I am afraid it will be a bit of an eyesore if the door is not color matched?

Gutted to see this! Did you get it sorted?
The bodywork quote sounds cheap to me for quality work...and yes, blending panels essential, especially with Silver Grey as you'll see it a mile off
