I had a full refurb on my 326's by a very well respected company. I kept to the original colour and they cost £380 for the four. Used them on several sets of alloys and I can't speak highly enough of them.

Thanks for that. A bit more than I was expecting tbh. I am waiting for lockdown to ease before approaching anyone for a quote. There appears to be a couple of places in Norwich that have good reviews (if that is any guideline these days).

295's.

Don't crack and the Romanians tell me they're easy to clean.

I can get single colour wheels refurbed at £60 a corner for cash but £75 to £80 is probably normal.

is that just a paint/cosmetic job? The more expensive ones I would go for are full bare metal refurbs.. and if you have diamond cut faces they can be even more expensive on top.

Full refurb, step daughter just had her 1 series wheels done.

Diamond cut are big bobs, had two done on SWMBO 208GTi and it was £160 a corner at the wheel specialist - :(

I was going to get mine refurbed last year, couldn't decided on whether to have a colour change or not. Anyway when you weigh up the cost of the refurb (I reckon I could get them done for £60 per corner ) wouldn't it be more cost effective to sell the 326's and add a few pennies to the budget then pick up a new set of aftermarket wheels... something without 326's reputation to crack?

I was quoted about £90 per wheel + £50 welding. i.e. £460 (four refurbed + 2 welded) although they did then talk about some discount if I did all that. I am still contemplating this because when I add in the price of 2 rear tyres too, its getting quite expensive...and I worry that the wheels will crack again - making them worthless.
I think I read somewhere (or was it a dream?) that the 326's on the later cars were "beefed up" a bit so they are not so prone to cracking. There was a lawsuit in USA against BMW. I dunno if that is true or not.
If they beefed them up then they made a lousy job of it, mines an lci car and they were still made of eggshells
