The jab ..

Post by TitanTim » Mon Mar 29, 2021 5:06 pm

From where I'm sitting in the UK, some 30 million have received the 1st vaccine dose and some 2.1 million have received second dose, looks like the chain for the all important hospital admissions have fallen considerably along with deaths which have plummeted. Fantastic the vaccine is doing it's job now and people have seen the sense the accept it which will hopefully completely lift the lockdown in the near future. Further booster vaccines planned for the Autumn, all positive stuff and thank God it's all been accomplished in super quick time with brilliant minds behind it all.

Let's hope the rest of the world catches up and we have ignored the vaccine doom mongers over the past 12 months.

It's amazing. To think that most of the vaccinated haven't even had their second jab and we are where we are it's great!

It's like I said to you Tim 90% of the deaths are coming from the over 60's and the pre-existing conditions. Fully vaccinate them and we have won.

Also to note- one for you "anti-stater's" who think that everyone is the same risk:

Patrick Vallance just said that a vaccinated 64 year old is as likely to end up in hospital with coronavirus as an unvaccinated 34 year old.

Let's hope then increased hospitalisation of younger age groups in Europe is just a blip, maybe once these countries catch up hospitalisations will be reduced as here

Doesn't need any, point I'm making is the importance for ALL age groups to be vaccinated to minimise any future outbreaks and hopefully get life back to some sort of normality. I'm sure you would agree.

Nictrix wrote: Sun Mar 28, 2021 7:40 pm The owner of a pub, shop or any business can refuse access to anyone now should they wish and don't have to give a reason. Some pubs and nightclubs don't allow access to anyone in jeans or trainers. Just as easy to say no jab no access should they want. That would be a business decision for them.
So are you saying that they can refuse entry to an under 16 year old, a pregnant person, some one with a disability (who can't take it) or someone who won't take it for religious reasons?
They can now even without anything to do with the vaccine, so what changes. If you turn up at a pub or shop and the owner just looks at you and says you are not coming in then that is that. They don't have to have or give a reason.

Lets just accept that some people regardless of any facts or figures will always be able to counter them with other facts and figures from some source. You will never win an argument with such people. All I ask is that if we let them live in their world and live their lives according to their beliefs, they should stop peddling their nonsense, accept we won't change and let us live in ours.
