TPMS packed up

Post by NewZdriver » Mon Nov 09, 2020 8:16 pm

Had a warning coming on intermittently saying the TPMS has failed. Tyres all ok and inflated correctly. Took into dealer who ‘reprogrammed’ it and hay presto, the same warning comes straight back on.

It’s booked back into Sytners this Wednesday for another go.

What is frustrating is it seems you need to do multiple trips to the dealer whilst they muck about before reaching the inevitable conclusion that a part needs replacing. I wish they’d just do this straight away.

For those who might remember I had a recurring sat nav issue in my original G29 which they mucked about with for months until the car was rejected. It cost them £000s in swapping my car for a new identical one and my original one was fixed by fitting a head unit which would have cured the problem and the dealer a lot of money.

Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a huge issue but why do dealers mick about so much when the solution is pretty obvious!! Lol

Let’s see what happens on Wednesday

2017 Z4 e89 2.0i msport auto
2019 Z4 g29 2.0i sport auto (rejected)
