Hello to everyone.
i bought carly hardware ans software to be able to program the confort access of my car. its a z4 2009 3.5si

i was able to make the sunroof , windows and the side mirrors to open automaticly if i press the unlock key twise
But i wasnt able to make them close all together. when i press the lock button for second time the sidemirrors are folding and the windows are closing straight ahead and the roof stays down.

does anybody know how to make the roof also close while locking the car ?

Note. the roof /windows and sidemirros are closing all together if i use the physical key in the door lock so its quite strange why the key lock is not popping roof too.

I may be wrong but my understanding was unless the car actually had comfort access from factory you couldn't program roof up from carly and would need a smart top module, if it did have it then you could code roof up..I stand to be corrected though

I keep reading that roof closing can be coded but where Is the proof that anyone has ever done it? As far as the OP goes the only realistic way to achieve what he wants is to fit a SmartTOP module. Not cheap but it works and gives other options as well.

hence the reason we're looking for someone to give it a try finally, other E series could be coded with the codes I list there

I already have a roof module too, so I don't wanna try it anymore

Good luck finding someone prepared to chance his arm. However, as you point out I doubt the OP could do this with Carly even if he wanted to. SmartTOP is the expensive but safer option. For the OP the following link gives information on what the module can do. http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/db/smartto ... 2.2/en.php

I fully understand why you wouldn't want to risk it, especially as you now have a SmartTop module on yours, but it seems to me that you are the one who has the knowledge. Others may not be so clued up and you are telling them to try something you won't do yourself.
Hopefully someone with an understanding equal to yours will come long, who can answer this query on his own car.
I have to say that if someone can make it work they'd make a killing on the forum!

there's no risk at all coding those in, the worst what can happen that the roof still won't close

I'm just lazy taking out the roof module and wire back everything to default for the CTM

I'd be happy to do it remotely for someone w/ or w/o the sw, but has to have the bimmergeeks pro cable at hand at least

BMW Standard Tools from bimmergeeks, find it on their website's download section
