To clean:

AutoGlym's Interior Shampoo
Leather Brush
Drill attachment

Restoration:

I chose a furniture clinic kit with colour matched dye
This leather preserver after cleaning and restoring the leather
Did you buy the "Easy Restoration Kit"? They sell a few, trying to find out which one I need!

It was something else, it came with a bunch of coloured dyes in case I wanted to tweak the colour. But that kit is all you need really.

Sorry to ask - I thought you did a great job, I bought the "Easy Repair" one which didn't really work as well, so am trying to track the right one down!

Was it this one?

There's another one which has an aerosol for painting it?

Yes, that's exactly what I used! Perfect results for me as you've seen.

My Montego coupe with half Montego leather, having trouble getting leather dye for it.
They do it in the States but not too popular over here

Just wanted to share some photos of the car now that it is very clean for the first time since I finished all the recent mods.

A week after getting the alignment done, I went on a driving trip to Cornwall with two Z4 friends. After some 700 miles of hard driving I can honestly say I know how it handles now with the new mods and geo and I am extremely pleased with it.

Brake upgrade to come as soon as I can afford one!

Once I got back I did an oil service, flushed the brakes with new Motul 660 fluid and changed the gearbox oil. Changing the gearbox oil didn't do much in my E85 (although it was a noticeable improvement), in the E86, however, it's very noticeable and gear shifts are very smooth now, especially 1st gear.

Then I detailed the paintwork. Compound, polish and wax all by hand; the colour has a very deep gloss to it even though not all swirls are gone. The car looks fantastic and I honestly couldn't be happier with it.

Sorry to bring this up again, but did you use any other pre-cleaner preparation before applying the colourant, like IPA? Also, how is it holding up since January?

No, I didn't. That post was made in January, the seat refurb was over a year ago and 12k miles. It's holding up alright, not perfect, but plenty of dye left to touch up as required.
