Hi all,
Just curious as to how often a top up is needed. Bowser topped mine up a few weeks ago so I should be good for a while. Does the system loose fluid over a period of time?

Its a sealed system...if it ever needs topping up it means you have a leak somewhere. Any hydraulic oil will do...a lot of people use jack oil.

I used a old syringe I had for some pet medicine. Works a treat. And jack oil is perfect for the roof pump.

Newbie here - I bought this from Amazon for topping up E89 roof oil. Is this OK? SAE 10W (ISO 32)
Thanks!

Managed to do it. 2 min job.
Unscrew battery retainer bar.
Lift out pump.
Photo shows level the oil was at.
Remove filling screw on top of reservoir
Top up with oil - I used this from Amazon £6.
New oil level.
Noted that it had been leaking from the bottom of the pump (possibly from loose jubilee clip holding reservoir onto pump, through foam and into tray underneath.
Open and closed the roof, noted that it had drawn fluid into the system (level had dropped a bit).
I'll keep an eye on it and top up if required.
Hope this is helpful!
