ABSOLUTELY!!Z4MGT4 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 2:25 amThe car is still in the UK.Vanne wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 7:00 am Awesome progress.. is this in Tassie yet? which wheel size did you go for? 18? or 19? and which tillett seats did you end up with? Steve is a great guy to deal with. I hope you didn't grab the low side ones? easier to get in and out of the car, but no wear near the support of the higher side ones.
would love to see this in person once you get it sorted
If i was at this stage again, id probably would have bitten the bullet and ordered the floss man WB kit.
Looking great so far mate
have you got any more info on the engine, that vanos delete is going to make it a pig to drive unless your flat chat. id also love to know what duration cams you went with.
I went for 18x10s all round.
I went for the B6 Screamer as that is the only one with FIA approval.
I wanted to keep it to GT4 spec and a wide body kit would have made it ineligible for Targa.

Jem I was just thinking, it would be a good excuse to get a group of us together, to go and see the shakedown, to give Z4MGT4 some support..would make a very memorable meet up!Jembo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 12:45 pmBack of the queue JoneeJoneeboy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 6:23 pmOP, when the car is complete, would it be possible to come and see and hear it, before you ship it to Tas? Yeah, sorry. Work on the car slowed down for various reasons. lots of little jobs done, Electrics are nearly there. Diff and diff oil cooler fitted. doors on, seat in, etc. Next up is fitting radiator and plumbing and making up an exhaust.

Wow, awesome updates..
Somewhere along the lines you went from LHD to RHD, any notes about that? would really like to hear more about how you did that.
Ive been bumming and arriring about doing that for about a year now, but even after having most of the parts to do it, its still quite a job that I am not looking forwards to do...
(I wonder if I can run on track in oz with a LHD car?)
Just another question, and def not trying to poke at what your doing mate, cos I recon its AWESOME!!!, but did you re-weld the roof strut also? J schedule doesn't allow for having the driver head in the same position as the upper weld meet, unless you weld in the X.
But thats possibly a rule for building new cages, not pre-exisiting ones? not sure about that. either way, this is gonna be freaking AWEESOME!!!
Is that a diff oil temp sensor coming out of the diff casing?
Very very bloody nice!!

Changing to RHD wasn't a lot of extra work because we were starting from a bare shell and all the parts we had were from a RHD car any way. We had to make a hole for the steering column and weld on the column mount. We were also already fitting an AP pedal pedal box. It would be a LOT more work to convert a complete car.Vanne wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 4:51 am Wow, awesome updates..

I don't think there is any issues running a LHD car on the track in Australia. This was just a personal choice as I plan to drive it on the road also.
We cross braced the roof bar you can see it in this pic. Cheers

Hmm, can't think of one that comes with a cage from the shop. If your referring to the GT3RS thats not a cage like this one, thats a quarter cage, anything going forwards from the bulk head technically should have issues with rego, and MUST have helmet on when driven. Interiors are designed with soft bits so that when your head hits it, doesn't make your head collapse like a watermelon. anyways, thanks for the update, this is looking sooo good.
I cant wait to hear how you find drivability with the delete kit for the vanos. Should be lots and lots of fun. when is it slated to ship to Tassie?
