Trouble is that not everyone is honest - most are but one bad apple can spoil it for the majority. I was conned buying “genuine” Apple leads. The fella didn’t respond and I haven’t seen him on here for years!

Totally agree. I’ve sold things on eBay that I’m not comfortable selling on here... I guess other people may use this as just a selling platform but I’m not.

When I bought an item on here (£200 item) it arrived by Royal Mail when my cheque was still in the post box !
That’s a basic two way trust and it was appreciated by me.
The member, although not active on the forum at this time, will know themself!

I can’t remember if I’ve ever seen so many cars for sale on here before, a few parts , yes, but cars no. I don’t really like seeing the posts in the mix, perhaps as a separate section not searched by the “New Posts” button might be better.
BTW, I have a dog guard/ cargo area divider for a 2011 era LR2 Landy, it’s very expensive but I’m willing to virtually give it away . The only proviso is that you have to come and get it, on Vancouver Island. Or I may incorporate it into a Mad Max style roll cage for the M roadie,

Perhaps stricter rules for selling cars then (Z4 parts is complicated). The whole point from buying the car is it's been "forum loved" and clearly isn't the case, with (at least) some! So perhaps to sell you need to be a minimum of a forum member? i.e. one star under your name, that's like 50 posts or something? Food for thought!

1 star to post in any market place section sounds good to me (without revisiting the pros/cons arguments)
