that your rear tires wear quicker than the fronts? I tend to be heavy on the throttle and light on the brakes, so I am not surprised particularly, but it seems pronounced on the Z. I also tracked the car 3/4 times last summer, but I think the front tires could last thru another set of rear Pilots!

Yep, same reason the front tyres on front wheel drive cars wear faster, the powers going through them

Will be replacing my rear Goodyears soon. They have lasted about 20k miles.
Running at 42 psi they have worn in the centre slightly more than the edge. So will run 40 psi on the new ones.

I had a early front tyre last 4k. The tracking was off, but sorted.

Yes, all my RWD cars have gone through rear tyres quicker than fronts - no idea why?

On rear probably if camber not set right.
Front tyre outside edge, too much toe in. In fact both fronts wore out in 4k.

38's a bit high and 42 a bit low, but this is nonsense without good geo, of course. :)

Higher than 42 rear the car becomes skittish, you can feel it losing grip.
38 front i'm happy with the grip and lessons the wooden feel of the steering.
In fact this is one of the worse cars i have owned for it's steering and rubbish gearbox.
First and last BMW.

How strange. My 35is feeds back & steers really well and the gearbox is as good as the Porsche PDK. :)
