Yep, you can! Birds BMW are who I used for my Quaife and they are the official UK distributor as far as I know.

That sounds interesting ?? Are you going to fit the diff yourself ?

I did with the last one but going forward we have a local Gearbox/Diff company who rebuild them for us. For £270 you get's new bearings/seals with a new crush sleeve. This way we also get warranty.

That seems a good price and as you say comes with a warranty . Have we got the welded ring gear on our diff ? From what I have read so far it was from 2008 onwards but mine was registered in 2008 so will have to check . I was thinking about going the Wavetrac route but for less than the price of a Quaife / Wavetrac you can get the Blackline LSD and also get it fitted .

Out of interest does the E89 diffs from the 18i/20i/28i/23i/30i fit E85s?

I don`t know is my answer  but I have found this that shows which diffs were fitted so I`m hoping the welded ring gear is not on the E86 .

Had a look on the internet and Quaife refer you to Birds . When you select E86 or E89 on their site it just shows prices not which Quaife diff will be used so I think the only way would be to contact Birds and ask them but they may not want to tell you .

Realoem only shows what that diff was fitted to as standard and generally as the E89 post dates the E85 it doesn't give any insights..the diff seems to be 'uprated' in the sense that later diffs have cast cooling fins on them.

I do know (the hard way) that the 18i/20i/28/23i/30i diffs do not fit the 35i/35is!
