Just having mine corner weighted now... With 80kg ballast in driver's seat and 3/4 tank like you I'm down to 1448. So 1368kg with no driver.
Still an easy 15 kg to lose with swapping out my standard passenger seat for a bucket which I'm going to do at some point. pic from before corner weight adjustments.

What mods have you done to lighten the car Tom? Or is that basically the book figure?TomK wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 12:23 pmJust having mine corner weighted now... With 80kg ballast in driver's seat and 3/4 tank like you I'm down to 1448. So 1368kg with no driver.

I'm guessing (hoping) that figure is oem so I can feel smug at the weight shed in mine with the Tilletts instead of the oem seats

No a stock one is quite a bit heavier, Dave's above with a few mods (the brakes in particular are much lighter than stock) 1480 ish with no driver. I think BMW quoted 1485Fishy Dave wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 10:39 pm Sorry for the delay, it took a while , my fancy new jack is too high to go under the car and I was hungry when I got home. Anyway.....the results are, it needs to go on a post Christmas diet.
Weighed with full trim, inflation kit, a few cds and just over 3/4 of fuel.
My APs and rear ARB are lighter than standard but the exhaust valve adds quite a few kgs back.
The good news is the balance is excellent.
Without driver
51.1% front 48.9% rear
Corner weights are 50.1%
Total weight is 1483kg
With me in the drivers seat
50.23% front 49.77% rear
Corner weights are 50.5%
I weight 88kg, therefore also need to diet a bit
Total weight with me is 1571kg
Corner weight displays weight in pounds due to being an older US model.
Mine's been on a healthy diet, Lithium battery, Carbon airbox (actually saves a fair bit of weight at the front), 1 carbon seat, downgrade to 6 speaker stereo, wheels, brakes, etc etc. but it's all added up to a fair bit, seems to be at least 100kg

Aah I see - cheers for the info Tom! I'm hoping mine is a fair chunk lighter with similar ap racing brakes and the two Tilletts and the Ec-7s....
Guess I best get it weighed at some point!

That's with rollbar, rear and front Stb (back one is heavy) big battery in the boot, (11lbs one on the way) and door cards in place. Lol and full fuel. so half tank would be minus 27.5 kgs.
Note the rear right will come down by 7kgs for the batt, with the fuel at 1/2 tank which will pretty much put it in 50/50.
Pretty darn happy with that.

No ballast for a driver I presume? That’s pretty good anyway, although you’re over estimating the density of petrol (half a tank weighs less than 20kg).

Good results! I think buckets are next on my hit list, will probably drop a few kg and end up similar to yoursTomK wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 12:23 pmJust having mine corner weighted now... With 80kg ballast in driver's seat and 3/4 tank like you I'm down to 1448. So 1368kg with no driver.

How did it drive after the corner weighting?
@vanne is that with the drivers weight included? That's one seriously impressive diet!

Yeah for sure bucket's are easy weight, but perhaps not as much as you think once you start including the side mounts and particularly if you are using runners. My actual seat weighs 6kg, but once you chuck all the steel in I'd say it might be double that.
I haven't really had a chance to drive the car properly since bolting in the Kws a few weeks ago, alignment is now back to where it should be and I'm off to combe this weekend to see what's what. I have a good target time of 1:15.6 set there in what looks to be similar conditions in october last year, will be interesting to see how it goes. I imagine I'll spend most the day faffing around with the adjusters though!
I think vanne's weight is sans driver,as a 1310kg one of these would be pretty tricky, more so with a full weight battery. He has some added weight too from the wing and extra oil cooler so that figure is pretty good I'd say. My battery weighs 1.5kg for comparison!

There’s a regulated weighbridge two mins down the road from me, so for £10 I thought what the hell...
Apparently the lightest thing they have weighed in a while , but it still felt relatively portly to me, at 1440kg.
That’s with no driver, 15 litres (ish) of fuel and however much mud I picked up on the way during a festive hoon.

Relatively, yeah. The front brakes, suspension and CSLs have removed just under 10kg.buzyg wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 9:50 pmI take it your coupe is pretty standard?MrPT wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 6:11 pm There’s a regulated weighbridge two mins down the road from me, so for £10 I thought what the hell...

It’s also flimper spec with the Superleggera radio.

Wish mine was flimper spec. The sat Nav on the E8x's is just useless ballast.MrPT wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 10:22 pmRelatively, yeah.
