To wave or not to wave...?

Having read the “Spotted” thread, and being a long-time biker, I wonder if the practise of waving to other bikers is paralleled in the zed world? I have already waved to a couple of zeds, with no response, so I wonder if I should continue risk being taken as a loon, in the hope that, one day, my wave will be returned?

Well some of us try to acknowledge other Z4s with a flash of the lights or a wave, but my experience is that I generally only seem to get a response one time out of four!

But I'll persevere!

Just have to remember not to try when I'm in the daily.

As a biker I usually flash or wave other z4’s, makes me feel warm inside :P

Wave, flash, thumbs-up - do something!

I always do and like Mr Tidy probably only get a 1 in 4 response, but I live in hope of that improving.

I’ve only had mine just over a month but the only wave I’ve had so far was from a Z3.

I don't bother waving any more. I only seemed to get snooty people looking at me in a funny way.... :tumbleweed:

I wave or give a thumbs up, mostly get ignored but I don’t care... probably never see them again so not bothered what they think. Nice when you get a wave back though.

I’m still waiting for the day I’m on the spotted thread, there’s a few forum members fairly local to me so it’s got to happen sooner or later :tumbleweed:

I’ve had a couple of brief chats with other Petrol heads that have shown an interest at the pumps... that’s always nice :D

I still wave - 1 in 4 response rate sounds about right. E89 forget, E85/86 women driver forget it.

So it's the same where you are with E89s and women in E85/86s - I thought it might just be a local issue! :(

Can't help but not wave tbh. Once you own a zed it kind of gets under your skin and you instinctively react to other zeds on the road.

Acknowledge others but be prepared to feel like a prize tit when invariably ignored is my experience!

I always give a fellow Z4-er a lil nod when I'm in my E89. Only had one response in just over a year and that was from a blue z4m coupe in Maidstone a couple of weeks ago

Always wave. :D If the roof down, on the other Zed, then often get a wave back. In fact I usually wave at any nice, 2 seater sports car, if they have their roof down.
