This issue, IMHO, is all the IFs..
If you look at Scotland's more formally documented approach as opposed to the UK's next hurdle approach, in reality they are not far apart..
In Scotland tommorrow you can have a coffee with a family /friend in a garden ..ie phase 1
Unlilkely under any circumstances to get to phase 2 before the 3 week clock cycle
Only then in phase 3, probably in 6 weeks time minimum can Scots drive more than 5 miles and also have a beer outside..
So however you look at it early July seems a non starter..IMHO
IMHO the chances of the UK going faster without setbacks seems slight..
So its either August or September according to your logic..
Give that UK people can't fly / won't fly for summer holidays, as soon as people can either camp and / or hotel the UK is going to be rammed upto the point the English schools go back..only then can you go for a drive..
Therefore, IMHO, September seems the best option, even then its got lots of IFs and i think old f$%kers will hang back to see how the death rate changes..
The yoof, as already documented don't care..
Based on the last 3 years of attendance you won't have many of those!
Peter,I am keeping an eye on things in Scotland,obviously. People in England have actually been allowed to fly to Greece,etc as has been in the media,with one guy complaining about how busy his flight to Greece was,and how nobody was wearing a mask,while the guy moaning,and taking said pics to post online,was one of those same people going on a jolly,and not wearing a mask!!
Anyway, this meet WILL be going ahead this year,as and what date,need to wait and see,re Hotels,and of course,that we Scots/Welsh,etc can enter England
As the Younger element you mention,we have had plenty of under 30/"younger" members at these meets over the years,especially in the first 4/5 years, just less so in the past few years,lol. Like others,they have moved onto different cars,etc.
Anyway,its cool if you don't want to come,fully understand,but please,less of the doom mongering ..,....
If some people still want to make this meet happen,then we will.
Which is clearly the case.
We may have to limit numbers,but that doesn't look like an issue.
