Was it midnight blue with extended champagne leather? It would seem very unlikely, and so the spec is different.mattz4mc wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 7:30 am Same mileage, spec and condition was listed for £17,995 at a dealer and went for less than that. That also had an eventuri intake and stromung exhaust plus original parts.
Dealer also has to account for a 6 month warranty, preparation, taxes etc so I think its more than a fair price in all honesty.
It's common knowledge that the colour combo of a car can have an effect on its value and the Z4M is a particularly good example of this.
The rare paint colours will almost always be worth more than the common blacks and silvers. Even Interlagos blue examples (despite being a great colour) struggle to fetch what a sepang bronze, alpine white or, in this particular case, midnight blue might because they're far more common.
Same for the interior, a rare and desirable interior car would always go for more than a black interior car (all other things being equal). Extended leather takes this one step further.
Simply put, I wish I could afford this car because the spec is so special and worth the extra. I won't be alone. Would I desire it as much as black with black leather? No. And I own a coupe that's black with black leather (it was the best I could afford)
When you factor in other things like mileage, the rest of the spec and knowing who has owned the car and how they've looked after it, it all adds up.
