I don't think its worth £17k even if AUC but then £13k is a little too cheap from a main dealer but not private
AUC maybe £15k bearing in mind they most often pitch a good lump over non franchise dealers ?

What thoughts do you all have on what effect the Brexit and the Pound's weakness might have on prices....

Too early to say but people will for the time being be cautious with money and there will be an element of people who would buy these as weekend toys who may reconsider that option at the moment so it may lead to a slump in all used car values.Z4Rick wrote:What thoughts do you all have on what effect the Brexit and the Pound's weakness might have on prices....
Lots of 2.0l variants out there so a flood of them with stagnant sales would have an impact on the other side of that although the 6 cylinders are rarer and sound great, people worried about fuel prices will shun them over the more 'fuel efficent' 2.0l.

So where are we at with 89 prices ?
Well how about a 105k 09 30i auto for £9k very well specced with sport seats + nav although wheels look shot & don't work with the DSB imo
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... =p&adPos=4
Now this 23i 90k example I can tell you has been for sale 3 months on 19s with nav it was for sale at £11k when I was looking but se seats & the price ruled it out
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... =p&adPos=5
& for those wanting less on the clock at 23i DSB 32k sport seats 2010 for £11750 ? on 17s doesn't help & I think its too much

There's a 16 plate M sport 2 litre with nav up for £24,500.
Nearly new prices are so low it's compressing the market. Some great deals to be had.

I wonder what will happen with the prices next year with production pretty much stopped now.
If there is no new car to replace, will prices start to increase or at least stop dropping?

Right now I am in the market for an E89 and considering the top 2, I did consider the 3.0L and planned to go and view it but canceled, the discs look pretty rusty which made me think about the condition of the car !! As well as the the mileage is too high in my opinion and I clock about 20k a year but again if it is in a good shape it won't bother me !!!mr wilks wrote:So where are we at with 89 prices ?

I have got a small run about atm so no hurry for me to buy. I am thinking to wait till after the summer but if the right deal comes through then I am ready!!!
I might view the 2nd one tomorrow but again not too sure about the seats - the geezer said he would accept 9k which isn't too bad imho.
And finally I spoke to the guy selling the CAT C one below, it looks amazing on paper !!! I did offer him 9k on the phone and he said yes on the spot (if I pick up before the week end!!!). It is miles away from me (In the Leeds area and I am in Berks) and for him to drop 1k just like that kind of made me vveeerrryyy suspicious ( bearing in mind he is an independent trader )

That's a very nice looking Z4. Now, if only it were in blue or black.... Trouble is, almost all of the dark coloured cars have cream coloured interior trim. That just doesn't work for me; I'd be seeing dirty marks everywhere, whether they were or notbenv6 wrote: And finally I spoke to the guy selling the CAT C one below, it looks amazing on paper !!! It's 50k mileage, manual, CAT C and it's in Red. The red colour alone knocks off 1 or 2K of the value. Most likely you're the only caller in a while which is why the dealer was happy to take off a grand. Remember that £1k would have been profit from him and dealers don't even like taking £250 off. You should increase your budget a bit and get yourself a decent example.

I know this is an old thread, but that's exactly what I thought when I saw the add!Z4_35i wrote:Only 17 35i's currently on Piston Heads, four actually listed as sold and one a cat D, so hopefully they'll maintain their premium a little more, we'll at least until we sell our one later in the year
This one's interesting, apparently it's very rare as it comes with matching nail varnish At least the hands look cleaner than the car's bodywork.
