EcuWorx remap for Z4M

Continued testing my AlphaN tune, but switched over to a GSR box. As some of you know the boxes are made to fit the E46 M3 and not the Z4M so the snorkle piece doesn't fit.

I initially hacked the snorkle up a bit to give it the clearance but decided a better solution would be to design and 3d print my own version.

Hoping to get some dyno time soon so I can finalise the tuning side.

How are you getting on with the 3d printed inlet - looks a neat solution?

On the cut down GSR snorkel, do you think it would be feasible to connect the stub to the air inlet ducting on the Z4m, that way providing a sealed route to outside fresh air, and with an RPI ram air inlet should work well?

It's been working fine with no issues.

Even with the snorkle trimmed to fit it's not aligned with the inlet hole so 'joining' them isn't possible unfortunately.

Martyn - would you consider printing another of the adapted snorkel, or share the 3d file so I could get one printed, as it looks a neat solution?

cheers

Justin

Yeah, sorry I've been pretty tied up with other bits but it's coming along nicely.

Love to see it!

Q: I can't see it on the screenshot, will it be possible to enable shift lights (like e46m3 smg)?

This looks bloody brilliant, very useful! Presume it's fairly similar to the E46 one you did so hopefully not too much more work for you to convert over to ours, it probably is though! Looking forward to when we can pay you to get our hands on it! :D

Will the application regardless of the setup of the ECU, (MAF / Alpha-N)?

Tough to give an exact date but maybe in the next week or so potentially.

Providing the ECU is not locked to prevent reading by a previous tuner (a few do this to protect their IP) you'll be able to tweak freely. Naturally this won't effect existing tuning (ignition, vanos, fueling etc).
