Not saying you are old, but my grandad had a 1973 Capri 1600XL. It was blue, though, as he had a bit of taste! :poke:
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Cheeky young whippersnapper!

When I was at senior school my Maths teacher bought a new Daytona Yellow Capri 1600GT XLR with a black vinyl roof. We all reckoned he had binned his 2 year old Escort 1300GT.

Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

From my recollection of my only Capri, it would have handled like one too! :D

Yes, I can never understand why, when they are reviewed, the reviewer says how great they handle. To me it handled like a cross between a barge and a wet sponge.

I think most Capri models didn't handle brilliantly, but both the 2.8 Injections I had handled really well. :D

Skorpion X-frame on the back axle, Uprated ARBs front and rear, 175lb -1" front springs and a Skorpion front strut brace. Chased a Golf GTI through a series of bends just north of RAF Marham in my 2.8i Special. After a couple of corners his inside rear wheel was lifting. Fourth corner he redesigned the hedge! Helped him out of his car while trying to keep a straight face.
This was back in the days when my perception of my skill was slightly closer to the car's ability. These days I sign off much earlier.

Nothing to do with Peter, I just don't like custard yellow, or green.
I do like a certain shade of burgundy red, though!
Not a big fan of Green cars either, Generally…. But I wouldn’t say no to a Cayman GTS 4.0 or GT4 in Python Green 8)
Renault's liquid yellow is one of my favourite colours. There are some nice greens too.

However, a lot of the latest greens are horrible. There are a lot new cars in solid, dull green. They look awful.

I was 19 when I had a Crapi. I was the best driver on the road then (like we all were) and I still wouldn't have driven that pile of shite like I stole it, as I knew even then it wouldn't have ended well.

Next car was an XR3i. Now that did handle (for the 1980s) and made me a driving God!
