No duties or VAT on second hand goods. As all taxes payed on the first time sale.

Probably import agents charge. Not duties or taxes.
Check, appeal if declared as import duties

Had this couple of times with the UK Postoffice. Appealed and refunded next day.

Quick update, this has been held at French customs pending payment of an import tax charge… I have emailed the buyer, by I believe he should have had an email from the courier also.
