Coupe modifications so far .............Latest update - New Apex Wheels

With the money you’ve put into this car, if you haven’t already, I’d be looking at specialist ‘agreed value’ insurance.

Seems to be a post here, or on FB chat groups, every other week about how minor bumps are writing Z’S off.

I run a 10J ET40 255/35/18 and no rubbing

Have bought 265/35 for the rear and 235/40 for the front so fingers crossed that they fit ok .
That’s going to be tight.
Make sure you get some pics up once fitted they are lovely wheels.

I have all the modifications covered etc but you have a very good point and I do need to look at specialist agreed value cover when it goes back on the road . Any recommendations ??

Apparently there are E85 and E86 non M running with these sizes in the states so should be ok ( famous last words ) Can always get the arches rolled I suppose
Will get some photos up when done

They ought to be OK.

My MC had 19" CSL Reps fitted when I bought it with 235/35 front and 265/30 rear tyres that didn't rub - well not after I wound the coil-overs quite a bit higher and got the spacers removed!
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

The M has a different track on the back compared to standard coupe.

True, but the wheels have different offsets so probably not much difference. The wheelarches are the same size!

Not quite the way to look at it. A CSL rear 9.5J with ET27 will fit a M without scrubbing.
Stick that same wheel on a standard coupe and it will rub on the outer wheel arch.

I know this because I’ve tried it.

I did, but it's your car so your choice. They are great wheels (even in black) so I'm looking forward to seeing how they look fitted.

Not specifically, but im conscious of this myself with the Alpina as valuations can be difficult with so few comparables. I understand that Adrian Flux can sometimes be decent with modified and/or rare cars - but I’m not sure on this. I’m going to do some research into specific agreed, value classic policies, but you’d need a modified car policy

I use Aidrian Flux on my 35is...added another 20k of cover for £40!
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
A very modified Atacama Yellow 35is
