BMW Z4 Airbag light on - MOT less than a week

Post by P4XLL » Sat Apr 26, 2014 1:39 pm

I am in need of help - I have an MOT due next week on the 2004 Z4..
Issue being the airbag light is on - question is what do I do?

What are the common problems for this to go on? How easy and at what price would it be to get it resolved?

Thanks

You would need to have the fault code read.

Okay will have to try a few auto electricians then? Any idea of a kind of cost?
Just been quoted £25 call out fee, and £55 an hour - is this reasonable?

more than likely it will be the passenger seat occupancy mat, you can buy a bypass module for it off ebay for around £10

If, by any chance, you are coming up the M5 to Worcester/Droitwich I would be happy to get a fault readout and (possibly) clear the warning light
