Red Centre Brake Lens

Post by Tim » Fri Jul 13, 2007 1:40 pm

Hi, I've just discovered this forum which is great. I drive a 2004 2.2iSE auto roadster in Maldives blue with 16,000 miles.

I was polishing her a few days ago & noticed that the centre rear brake light lens on the boot has a slight crack.

Does anybody on the forum know where I might get a replacement at the right price; and how the old one is removed?

or you can try your trusty Stealer.

You need a 10mm deep socket (note deep, as its a long bolt that the nut sits on) to remove the nuts, (available from Halfords etc for around £5)

(someone confirm 10mm?)

In the US, there was a bulletin that covered 3rd brake light lenses under warranty.

Yep, got mine replaced for free. The problem was that the spring clips were too tight on the original.
