In Asda at the moment, reduced from £4 to £2. Not quite the £1 they did it for a bit back, but still worth a look. Bought one to give it a go later, if its any good, I'll stock up :)

Good find, but personally I can't stand their rain repellent stuff.

I find that rainX is smeary on the windscreen (and yes, I do try to polish it with a dry cloth etc as per the instructions), but is great for side windows/rear/wing mirrors.

I've used it and had no problems at all other than it wears off over time and needs doing again. i've not used this cleaner/top up tho so hence giving it a go :)

I've found RainX to be smeary and that it doens't last too long. Just personally wasn't a fan.

Maniac, let us know how the cleaner/top up works out. :)

I've used RainX for years, and yes it does go smeary on the windscreen, but only after you've used the wipers.

It works at speed, so is no use around town @ 20/30 mph, also some road lights can cause a funny reflection.

It comes into its own over 40mph, so ideal for motorways :) It also stops water freezing, so no more scrape/scrape

Didn't do that well in the AutoExpress group test last year.

Would have been slightly higher in the ranking if it had been cheaper.

I thought I'd try the EnduroShield one for a change, and it's been on for about 6 months. Doesn't need reapplying yet, and doesn't smear with the wipers.

I don't expect this to be full on rainX.. just a cleaner with a bit of rainX in it... TBH I'm more interested in trying it on the shower screens, cos if it keeps em clean, I'll buy crap loads as I hate cleaning the bloody shower.

I have some RainX which i only apply before long motorway journey,s , definitely needs buffing off once dry & have always found it works well at speed with no need for wipers . As already mentioned its ineffective & pointless under 60 mph
