AUX port Volume and System menu?

Post by churchwa » Thu Jul 19, 2007 9:57 am

Hi Guys,

I installed my Aux port last night and it works great. But the volume seems to be quite low, and turning the volume up adds a tiny bit of white noise. Is there a way of increasing the default level?

Also, how do you get into the system menu?

I'm fairly sure there is no way of increasing the default level without wiring something in. Purplemattfish is the one to ask, but he doesn't seem to be around... will try him tomorrow and see if he'll have a crack at it for you!

The is no way of increasing the volume. Either you record on your iPod at maximum volume through iTunes or you put in a pre-amp to amplify the sound.

I know only these 2 solutions. Hope it helps.

I have only seen the service menu when I replaced the radio, and only the very first time when I powered it up. Never managed to get the menu back after that ...

Oh - and re the AUX volume: add 20% to your itunes volume is enough to get equal level of the CD and Radio as well as the ipod. Any more - the aux will be too loud, any less and it is too soft
