Rates also will differ slightly depending on the area you live in in the city.
I've also heard that some insurances now look into your credit rating to determine costs too (dunno if that's true?).
...and, you can get huge "multi=policy" discounts for multiple cars, home, and life insurance policies. I even get a discount because my daughter gets good grades in school!
