Foam Removed From Soundgenerator
Oil, Air and Pollen filters replaced
Diff, Gear box and Engine Oil changed
De-baged
De-french fried
Extiror Trim Restored with G'Technique
Interior Trim wrapped with 3m Vinyl
Replace Aux And Air Con Belts + Tensioner

Here it is as I bought it:
And here is what I've done so far:
Debaged

De-french Fried
Before:
After:
I restored all the exterior trim with C'techniq C4 - I used this on my 3 series and its permanent, wont wash off or fade
They look good as new now
Before:
After:
I also tidy'd up the intior trim,
I wrapped the door handles in 3m matt grey vinyl from ebay as they were chipped and scratched, and i have sprayed the ash tray as i couldnt wrap it as the shap was too hard
And the gear surrond not only had a hole drilled in it, all the clips had been broken so i have ordered a new one

After:

Re: My z4 3.0 project thread (lots of pics)
I installed my DICE that i had out of my E46, The cd changer plugs were the same and it work which is handy:
I also installed my TR-30 GPS speed camera device, i got the dash mount on ebay its really good and pretty easy to install:
And finally got it re-mapped yesterday
Was 225 BHP and 214 ib/ft
Now 239 BHP and 229 ib/ft
It feels a lot quicker through out the rev range now, and pick up is alot quicker than it was, very pleased with it
Here is the dyno plot:
Thanks for looking
Comments/opinions most welcome

Welcome to the Forum! Some nice work there
Open question though; for what seems like a mild increase in power and torque, vs an undoubted hike in insurance and a bill for the remap, was it worth it? Do you notice it?

From a pure figures perspective the marginal increase in BHP probably not
But it's all relative to what you are expecting, if you think you could get 50BHP you would be in tears but what I got there was more than I expected
Is it noticeable? Yes
Worth it? Yes
Not that it did not pull before the pick up when you accelerate is a lot faster and pull's stronger and longer
Say your in 3rd and you wanna accelerate hard I would some times feel the need ti drop a gear, now there is no need
The map was more about driveability than huge gains

Looking great, keep it up!
I prefer the badge less look, but the key hole annoys the hell out of me, where can you get a plug?

Good work? No pics of your wrapped dash? I done mine today but haven't put back in the car yet.
I was thinking about removing the French fries earlier today. Good to see what it looks like before I bother. Hopefully get the wife's hair dryer out tomorrow.

The French fry have a little pin at the bottom the top needs to come out first
They look better than the pics show
