Keep us informed when you start them again!fatmikey wrote:i didnt finish them in the end, i got the inside part in primer then a Z4 M bumper came up on ebay and i had to buy it.
They will get finished at some point, but its now very low on my priority list

Put it out of your mind, Andy, you would only worry about trying to refurb yours.andysat wrote:Cheers mate, would make interesting reading!
BTW the condensation in my fogs seems to have disappeared lately despite all the wet weather we've been getting. Has this happened to other people, perhaps it's something to do with humidity levels in the atmosphere?

Can't wait to see how you do the inners. If this works I may try it myself - I'll buy some of the blanks you can get to cover the holes left by removing them. Think they're dirt cheap...
Great job so far

Re: Facelift fog light refurb??
well i got the insides painted at the weekend, used plasti-koke brilliant metallic which is available from tescos at less than a fiver, it aint the best finish at all, but i need them done for the weekend
heres the finish, this could all have been done better, but it was only a week or so ago i decided i wanted them done for a show this weekend, so ive not spent as much time as i should have
so this eve i keyed up both parts thats were to be sealed & used an adheasive sealer that i had laying around in the garage
applied a bit of masking tape around them to keep them together

Well ive finaly finshed, quite happy how they turned out & the metalic paint reflects the light quite well.
decided to tint the fogs to try an make them a little less bright & visable, heres how they turned out
then finaly fitted them to the car after have holes in the front bumper for the past couple of months
all completed & refurbed for probably a tenner, but alot of elbow grease & time
