Harry Fairbairn Glasgow

Post by JimmyPop » Wed May 05, 2010 11:06 am

Must say I'm pretty happy with the service so far from Harry Fairbairn. Bought my car a month ago and the engine light and safety mode came on yesterday. Spoke to someone on the sales desk who said they wouldn't be able to look at it until at least next Wednesday. Phone back and spoke to the service manager (? Bill Ray) who apologised and said he would do his best for me. Just phoned me and offered to have it picked up tomorrow morning from anywhere. As I need to get to my work, I'd rather drop it off myself so one quick phone call later and he's arranged for someone to drive me from the garage to my work. If need be, they will organise a courtesy car if I'm not getting it back tomorrow. Must say quite happy with the service manager - just shows that it pays to speak to someone in charge!

Update....

Must say I'm extremely satisfied with Harry Fairbairn today. They fixed my car promptly (just an ignition coil needing replaced), cleaned my car/alloys and arranged an extremely pleasant driver to take me to work (great chat Douglas!).

As well as that I asked about a paint imperfection on my rear bumper - apparently had a small scuff repaired without notifying insurance. The service manager suggested I speak to the guy I bought the car off and they're going to tidy it up for free, as well as do me a deal on a small scuff on the side!

Extremely pleased with the entire service - must give special mention to Douglas (the driver), Bill Rae (service manager) and Andy Brogan (sales) for all their help.

Don't suppose you can remember who you bought it off of? I bought mine from Andy Brogan. Really think the whole experience was first class. I know you pay a bit of a premium buying from a dealer like Fairbairn's but for someone like me (with fairly limited car knowledge) it's worth it when you get the service I have had.

Well, took the car back in today to get a Smart repair on the paint imperfection on the rear bumper - the guys did a first class job - can't see any blemishes at all! Really pleased seeing as it was paid for by the garage. They also kindly polished out a few scratches I'd picked up on the driver's door since I bought it - only charged me £20.

Again, extremely impressed with the service in Harry Fairbairns.
