Transport mode, anyone in Cornwall

Hi, Just bought my first Z4 and it's a Coupe, my son had one years ago and I loved it.
I think mine is in transport mode as the Aircon button doesn't come on, fan runs very slow.

Is there anyone in Cornwall that can plug in and check for me? I'm happy to go to the local specialists if needed but they have quoted £40 plus VAT and I don't know for sure that's the issue.

2006 BMW Z4 Coupe

I'm pretty certain that will be the issue as I had the same symptoms last week after a dead battery had put it into transport somehow.

Shouldn’t the dealer be sorting that out for you?
(I recognise the car/dealer from your avatar)
Hi Swanny
They have said to give them a call and I am sure will sort it, 120 mile round trip vs £50 at the local specialist. Just weighing up my options

You could buy Scanner 1.4, stick it on your laptop, clear Transport Mode, be able to scan for codes and do various coding, plus offer the service to other owners. All for twenty quid.

I've just purchased the 1.4 scanner but can't get it set up on my laptop to remove the transport mode, perhaps i should also try a local main dealer. West Midlands.

Scanner 1.4 can only reset it, not delete it. It should have been deleted by the supplying dealer when the car was imported but often wasn't.

Aye, but for £20 you can reset it as many times as you like. In about 2 minutes.

If only I had a laptop... I don't even have a windows PC/laptop at home, just a Chromebook.
