I really love you British people. I've been to Scotland, Wales and England. I live in Canada, which is quite pleasant, as long as one doesn't travel to the U.S.

Thx Jack. Unfortunately I always seem to take a wrong turn somewhere over the Atlantic when heading West.

Scottish people are generally the most friendly people. The Irish are too.

For all the Americans get a bad reputation every time I've been over I've had a great time.

I didn't like the amount of racism apparent in Washington DC, but usually all the Americans I've met have been friendly and fun.

No idea as I can't understand a word of what they are saying. Seems like every sentence has the words "nae bother" in it, which I don't understand, either.

No, doesn't help. I am from the 'home counties' so don't have an accent! I say 'barth' and 'graass'. :)

My parents were both from London, though, so I drop my 'H's; like 'ope' and 'otel'. It's also bloody 'ot' today!

That's a fascinating insight.

I worked for a US domiciled company for over 12 years, and whenever we all got together I generally found my Canadian colleagues had a much better grip on what was happening in the world at large than those from the US. I was amazed how many of the Americans didn't actually have a passport!

My uncle Ken went to Glasgow once and thought everyone was talking to him - he kept hearing d'you ken!
