Peter 3 wrote: Thu Mar 06, 2025 11:46 am Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and a new user of E89.

The only thing I find it missing is the CC, which is a problem in Wales now a days with 20 mile speed limits everywhere. :headbang:

Is kind Mr. AnubisZed still offering fitting and coding?

Thank you.
You have a PM

I don't have cruise control on my E89. I'm sure some of the cars I've had in the past, that CC would only operate above 30 mph. If specifically wanted for the 20 mph limits in lots of Wales, might be worthwhile confirming it will operate at that speed.

Possibly CC won't work, but limiter should, shouldn't it? :)

The lowest speed that the E89 Cruise works from is 20mph
There is no Speed Limiter available for any of the E Series BMW's

(For reference, Cruise keeps you at a pre-defined speed, and Speed Limiter stops you going over a speed, but you still have control of the accelerator - For anyone who may not know! )

From my experience of other makes, the speed limiter can be overridden by planting the accelerator to the floor - useful in emergencies.

How-To - e89 Cruise Control Retro-fit

Post by Keehner » Tue Jun 10, 2025 5:53 pm

Hi, firstly, great video and guide to fitting the cruise control unit. I have just followed it and fitted this to my e89 that is my first fun car (at 35 years old). However, I used the slip ring that came with the storks, is this why I have a lot of error codes? Or is it just some programming required? Any help is much appreciated!

If you follow the video and How-To, after you have coded the cruise control in there is a last step that resets the Steering Angle Sensor, thus getting rid of the fault lights.

Alas I can't say one way or the other as I don't have Bimmercode, I only work with the BMW Tools package as shown in the video.

Yeah the link it totally beyond my control as its an external link. It is available on the Internet if you search "BMT Tools"

Hi Dave,

Im a newbie so im not able to DM you.

I have a Z4 2010 3.0 manual, I have purchased the stalks and column shroud. I am confident in fitting those components but the coding is probably beyond me.

Would it be possible for me to pay you to code it to the car?

Thanks

Chris
