Lost my whippy when getting the car washed, no idea what happened to it. Is there a forum approved replacement? I dont really need it as i have a Mr12Volt and all music is played through that but it looks silly without one.

Or maybe some sort of blanking plate would be better.

An E89 without a whippy is only 1/2 an E89… :tumbleweed:

I wonder how many pages this topic will run for?

I decided not to have a whippy or a stubby on mine. (Photo is my previous Z4, but I've got it on my current one).

I love my stubby
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Whippies and loud pipes are for blokes that need to overcompensate for other shortcomings. Da troof.

Au naturel is the way mine is, although it's getting on a bit now it still does what it's supposed to do  :driving:

so is the replacement a BMW official or is there a recommended alternative. I must admit i don't have a preference of stubby or whippy.

If I need a whippy but my pipes are moderate what does it mean? :tumbleweed:
