Just picked up a modified Z4 and looking forward to learning more about the platform.

This is my 4th BMW (2nd with N54) but still learning every day (probably forgetting more) my daily driver is a 2021 M340i but this new to me Z4 is a pretty different beast. It’s highly modified with too many mods to list! I tried putting some of them in the signature line. Previous owner spent a lot of time putting this together and did a great job.

I have only put about 400 miles on it so far and feel like I still have the training wheels on - it’s quick and a ton of fun. More later - just wanted to say hello.

Would love to hear that exhaust!

I'll see if I can get a clip with the valves opened and closed but to be honest, it needs some "Tuning" with a mid pipe resonator to reduce some Drone. with the Catless DP and a single center section that looks to be about 3.5" to 4" its a bit much with the valves open.

I tried uploading an exhaust video, but it won't allow it. I don't have You tube account so can't add it there and link. It sounds great on the video and maybe in person at higher revs, but it will drone at a constant cruise....

Right now I've got to chase down suspected vacuum leaks .. getting a lean bank 2 codes and misfire codes for 4,5,6. CEL light comes on temporarily and then disappears.

I had drone issues too on my Alfa, ended up doing a vibrant super quiet resonator and a J-tube? not sure on the proper term, it was suggested by others from my research.
It helped a ton, I'm not sure how much room we have on the Z but my last car had plenty

I have been researching both of those solutions ... I think there's plenty of room for the Mid resonator on mine as I have two pipes merged into a single mid pipe ... just need to fond the right size resonator (single pipe is pretty large).

Still trying to determine a fitment for the "J-pipe" and from what I have gathered the length should be somewhat specific? Also maybe placed as far forward as possible?

Trying to find the time to locate a good exhaust shop and time to get there with work schedule.
