So, the mirrors do actually fold. I was scared to break them but it just needed a bit of a welly. Problem averted 🤣. Thank you also!

You'd be better using the button on the drivers door arm rest to fold the mirrors rather than doing it manually - if desired this function can also be coded so they fold automatically when you lock the car from the fob

I think he means they don't have the button so can only be done manually?

So turns out they do actually have a button, after 8 hours of driving yesterday I was a bit zonked and somehow just forced them closed. Luckily not broken lol!

I drove my first E89 for a few weeks before I found the button that drops all 4 windows simultaneously.

My second E89 had the storage compartment package like yours but it took me over a month to discover the compartment under the dash that drops down near my right knee

I told you it did! Lucky you didn't break them. :)
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

2024 Audi A4 avant 40 black edition petrol
2025 Ford Focus ST 'track pack'. Go-kart with sat nav.
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half.
No Z4 anymore!

Result.

I wish my Z4 had them, I find them really handy in car parks or parking on the street in my 330i.
