A long time since you posted here Ron . Even though I have never met you I have been through times of despair in hospital and out of hospital etc and have an idea of how you may be feeling . If it helps to post on here then please keep us updated as we are here listening . I am going to send you my mobile phone number by DM so if you ever fancy a chat or just a text message it would be a pleasure .
Try to keep positive even though I know it can be hard

Such a long time is very worrying indeed, you have to get back again to visit Arnhem and Oosterbeek!

As said above, keep posting and keep us informed of how you are. It helps to talk

Good to hear from you again Ron, but sad to see things are getting you down.

You really do need to keep your pecker up though. You never know there may be a nurse who can help with that.

Try to stay positive, and all the best.

We miss your humour!

Sorry to hear that progress is still slow after so many set backs. Keep motivated, it will make a difference to your capacity for recovery.
I hope you’ve been able to spend some time with Mrs Ronk and support each other.

I was thinking about you only yesterday, Ron, as it has been a while.
I can't help with any encouragement; just thinking of you and hope things improve shortly. :) .

Things aren’t too good here at the moment .
I’m not walking yet and still in my hospital bed awaiting investigation now from the cardio team on Thursday.

Mrs Ronk now home

When all this situation started way back in June last year, I was a glass half full sort of person however recent events I’m now looking for some dregs in the bottom of the glass!

Put it this way, the gas hob fitted by the new kitchen install developed a leak!

It’s easy for us to encourage you to stay positive. But we are not facing the challenges you face. From the response on the Forum you can, however, see that we are all rooting for you and your good lady. Hang on in there Ron.

Thank you!

It is all being very difficult for me and I admit I’ve shed more than a few tears

I’m now facing the fact that I won’t walk again however I hope I will be able to drive.

That is going to a major challenge for you, but let's hope you will get back to driving so you can keep playing! Wishing you all the best.

I read this post and feel disheartened for you but somehow you keep going, you are a very strong person and have the guts of a true hero. Something for us to all aspire to. My thoughts with you and your wife as always,
