Five broken wheel bolts!

From a Facebook Z4 page, a chap only had the car for 30 hours before the rear wheel fell off! It looks like the bolts have broken off in the hub. Could have been very nasty.

Maybe, but how much do you need to overtighten them to get them to snap! :o

That has to be near the top of the list of all-time bodgery!

I feel really sorry for whoever had just bought it.

That happened to me once in the 70's. I car pooled to school and parked in front of some asshole's house and they loosened my wheel nuts. Driving down the highway the rear left wheel came off and passed me on the left.... I went back late in the evening and poured brake fluid on his paint.

Another picture of the stricken car. MOT history does show a lack of care with tyres. She will probably have a bit of road rash underneath. The owner is trying to get the dealer to take it back. I can see a drill, perhaps they could not lift the car so they tried to drill out the stubs

That's a lot of worn and damaged tyres in the MOT history.

That car was on sale for quite a while. It was priced at £7995 which is quite low for a 13 plate from a dealer.

It will be interesting to see what the dealer does. The dealer does have numerous negative reviews for selling faulty cars.
