AC Aceca

Saw this in a Hospital pay and display carpark on a rainy morning is Yarkshire earlier, love that it's used and even in the rain but it made me cringe being parked where it was.
Absolutely beautiful thing, never seen a coupe in the wild, seen a few Ace's at shows etc.

Very rare car that.
I thought it might be the one they did on Car SOS, but it ain't.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

2024 Audi A4 avant 40 black edition petrol
2025 Ford Focus ST 'track pack'. Go-kart with sat nav.
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half.
No Z4 anymore!

I'm surprised that the Aceca doesn't look a lot smaller next to the E86 (or rather I am surprise the E86 doesn't look bigger). I've just double checked and the E86 is around 20 cm longer and 20 cm wider than an Aceca.

The E89 is around 15cm longer and 1cm wider than the E86.

The G29 is around 25cm longer and 8cm wider than the E86.

I can buy into the idea that in 2024 the ideal sports car size is bigger than an Aceca... but I really do think at the E86 would, if anything, benefit from being a touch smaller and certainly not larger.

Gotta say the Z4 coupe does a damn impressive job at holding it's own given what it's parked next to.

They make a very handsome pair
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Lovely motor, brave move parking on a hospital car park. Last time I did that the Z3 had nice dents in the wing and door

I think one of the most shocking car things I ever saw was a few months ago.... ebay listing for a land rover. The bidding was still going at £1,700 or so when I saw it... the description basically said "this vehicle broke down up a welsh mountain in 1973, and we towed it down last month" accompanied by a photo of what seemed to be a collapsed chassis and some scrap metal.
