BMW Z4M Roadster - Sapphire Black w/GruppeM Intake - £15000

Post by Abbas » Mon Jun 24, 2024 12:17 pm

Morning all,

Didn't think I'd be doing this so soon. However as summer seems to have finally arrived this year and it's a roadster I thought I'd put this out there. I wanted to scratch my "M" itch before I admit defeat and get into a comfy diesel (See thread viewtopic.php?t=147518), so the plan was to enjoy it over this summer and see where I'm at around this time next year. With that in mind I'm in no rush to sell, but just putting this out there as I haven't been driving this for it's intended use as much as I thought I would and the car is to be enjoyed. Miles will go up slightly as it's my only car.

In the short time I've had this, the cars been brilliant. Induction sound with the GruppeM box is looooovely when you give it the beans, and it's perfectly comfortable driving around town or on the motorway. There was an airbag light on and a couple of fault codes on purchase, but this was all rectified under warranty and the cars been faultless since. There's a thread about that too viewtopic.php?t=146955. Eventually I'll get a 'weekend toy' again as a 2nd car when I can afford it. This is my 4th Z4 in 5 years, so there's a decent chance it might be another one  but probably more of a cheap and cheerful one.

Key points:
– Low mileage 49,000 miles
– Very good condition inside and out, no noticeable blemishes to speak of.
– Full Service history with run-in service done. Never more than 10k miles without a service. Full Service book photos attached. Inspection 2 Service done March 2024.
– Mot until Dec 2024.
– GruppeM Carbon intake - Worth around £900 new. Let’s those ITB’s on the S54 engine really sing. Incredible intake sound! OEM airbox comes with the car.
– ContiSportContact tyres front and back with plenty of tread left.
– More desirable spec of stitched leather interior trim and no sat nav to date the car.
– Very handy AUX input. May have been custom added by a previous owner? Implemented very well in any case and I thought it was OEM at first.
– 2 keys, booklets and receipts present, as photos show.

In my ownership:
– New Battery & Camshaft Sensor
– Storm Motorwerks machined gear knob. Makes shifting way better in my opinion, and just feels real high quality. Worth about £80 new.
– Eibach Lowering Springs. Ride feels slightly more composed now in my opinion, and a more aggressive stance obviously. Have no issues with going over bumps etc. It's not an SUV obviously, so I just go over them carefully.
– Rennessis carbon fibre front splitter - Worth £329 new.
– 12MM MTec Hubcentric spacers front and back. Wheels fill the arch much better. No rub.
– All OEM+ mods easily reversible if not to your taste.

I have this for sale on Auto Trader and Facebook, however I've priced it at a discount on here as I'd rather it went to a forum member.
£15,500

Update: Now reduced to £15,000.

That’s a good question! Hadn’t noticed till you said. I’ll double check the paperwork to see if I can see anything but at a guess I’d say an error has been made somewhere there. With either 2018 or 2019 being an error as the mileage jumps up alot more than usual from 2017 to 2018 but that could just be a driver enjoying themself

It’s been a brilliant car, I’ve already took it on a road trip or two and it’s not missed a beat  if it wasn’t summer I’d have held out, but I thought eh why not put it out there. The intake has really transformed the car, I actually find myself driving the car with the top down sometimes so I can hear the induction sound in all its glory. Kind of defeats the point abit

Yep, I believe the OEM aux is kind of hidden at the bottom of the dash isn’t it? This one looks like a custom job but I may be wrong! Works fine though and you can select aux from the mode menu so I have no idea

Installing the aux socket is very easy in the OEM position tucked under the dash. It must have been much harder work to install it there!

Lovely-looking Zed - GLWTS

This happens regularly with private plate changes, the plate goes onto a lower mileage car but the HPI system allocates the mileage reading to the previous car. You can contact HPI and ask them to correct it if you are able to provide evidence

Looks lovely and you really haven't owned it long at all. We "met" briefly when I was selling my Alpina to the garage that you purchased the Z4M from. It looked lovely then and even more so now with the work that you have carried out to it. Good luck with the sale.

Ah, no way! Small world! I remember the Alpina actually, was an e90 if I recall correctly? The dude at the garage was telling me about it once they’d purchased. Looked mint.

Thanks mate! It’s an awesome car. I know the quick sale might sell alarm bells ringing to some folk, but I just don’t drive at for its purposes as much as I thought I would, and this car is to be enjoyed and cherished. it’s not really made for trips to Lidl. Although I’ve been known to take a detour or two home

Yes it was an E92 and it was a minter. I had no real intention of selling but when I made a speculative enquiry, they offered top money which I felt I couldn't refuse. They then sold it on for even more money and in quick time so they clearly knew the market better than me!

Reference your car, situations change and I'm sure if a serious buyer reaches out and carries out the relevant checks, they will see that. It certainly looked like a lovely example when I saw it.

I’m considering it actually, so I’ll let you know! I might take the front splitter off aswell as I’ve had a bit of interest in that. It may be more appealing to more folk if it’s stock.

Before I do though, if anyone wants to throw an offer my way for the car as is- try me.
