I wouldn’t have parked that close to someone with a hoodie
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Daily is a 2013 330D, a bit of a dinosaur as not Ulez etc but puts a smile on my face. I think of it as a mullet haircut, business up front and a hooligan on the weekends. They really do shift even with just a stage 1 remap.

Yes I know, I lived there for over 40 years. God awful place, never got on with the locals, looks better now though as they have tarted up the seafront and replaced the railings in the Strand gardens

JL has gone back to a Mini Cooper S. walked in to the Cambridge Mini dealership to look at a used example and came away with this beautiful car. The Fiat was v pretty but this is a seriously good machine to be in as well as look at. Brilliant purchase experience too. So we now have the 23i Z4, a 2013 CLS M-B, and the Cooper-S 😎🇩🇪

My daily (now not a daily as it only gets used every other weekend like my M Roadster) is a 2006 manual E90 330d with a stage one map. It really is a quick daily (effortlessly so, you don’t need to rev it above 2000 rpm to make good progress) car that is super frugal with it. Owned for 10 years, owes me nothing, has never let me down in 93,000 likes (now on 193,000) and feels tight as the day I got it. Had plenty of playtimes against much newer more powerful cars and it still surprises me. I intend on it going another 10 years in my hands.

That's very close to my pair!

Z4MC and 2005 manual 330i, which has worked well for me for nearly 5 years. But your E90 is a much better colour than mine.
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

I'm not a fan of modern minis (or modern cars full stop) but that is a nice looking car!

My daily (again)… anyway, my point is this: got a price this week for replacement MB discs & pads from my usual independent specialist. Before committing I picked up the phone and rang MB, who offered the same replacement for just £18 more, at a date and agreed time slot, sit and wait in the luxury showroom drinking their rather fine coffee. No brainer. Why are independents getting so expensive??!
